Hi, welcome to my website!
I am an Assistant Professor at the Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business at East Central University.
I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Oklahoma in 2024. My research focuses on political economy (domestic and international), economic development, and public choice. Specifically, I am interested in examining how political institutions, international organizations, and public policies influence economic outcomes and long-term development.
My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the B.E. Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy, Applied Economics, Applied Economics Letters, Frontiers in Public Health, and Economics. My current research projects examine political ideology and IMF interventions, export sophistication and productive capabilities, leadership in international organizations, campaign finance laws, inflation shocks and domestic violence, and food insecurity.
As an instructor, I believe in creating meaningful classroom experiences for my students: one should teach as they wish to be taught. In most of my courses, I prioritize a discussion-based and applied approach to learning. I have experience teaching principles of macroeconomics and microeconomics, intermediate microeconomics, business and economics statistics, quantitative methods and data analytics, commercial banking management, and financial markets and institutions.
I enjoy reading, playing Xbox, watching TV series and movies, and planning trips with my family in my free time.
